Principal
For more than a decade, Blake has provided tax and accounting services to clients in the Seattle area, across the United States and to U.S. taxpayers living abroad. Services range from tax planning, accounting assistance and bookkeeping, payroll and tax return preparation, representation in Internal Revenue Service and state tax matters, litigation support, accounting software, and financial tax planning.
An Enrolled Agent since 2003, Blake specializes in representation before the IRS and State agencies to resolve controversies and collections. He regularly prepares all types of income and estate tax returns, and has extensive experience counseling entrepreneurial businesses, professional practices, and well established businesses. Industries represented include construction, real estate development, retail, wholesale, trades, fishing, not-for-profit organizations, and intellectual property.
Blake works with clients of all income and asset levels. In addition to representing large corporations and high net worth individuals, he has special expertise serving the financial needs of entrepreneurs and creative freelancers, including artists, photographers, filmmakers, musicians and designers. His unique perspective and level of understanding is drawn from his own experience as an audio engineer and alumni of the Art Institute.
Blake is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Washington State Society of Enrolled Agents. Destined for the profession, Blake was born on April 15. He is an Eagle Scout and lives with his wife, Beth, in Seattle.
Joseph P. Rush, EA
Joe has more than a decade of experience as a tax profesional spanning both the East and West Coast. After starting his career in Seattle and obtaining his Enrolled Agent license in 2006, he headed to New York and climbed the corporate ladder where he served as the Director of Tax Operations for a national tax firm managing more than 75 employees. Having worked with Blake since as far back as 1995, he joined the Steel Guarde team when he moved back to Seattle in July of 2012.
Joe has an expansive background assiting taxpayers on all sizes of the financial spectrum. He is passionate in helping guide the small business owner. His experience includes helping companies of all sizes, individuals, estates and tax resolutions clients.
Joe is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Washington State Society of Enrolled Agents. He has a background in theater and lives in Seattle with his wife Amanda and their two cats, Taco and Shiva.
